Objects

It all started with an industrial lamp and the question of what makes objects from the past so appealing. The search through the various styles of the last 100 years led to an examination of the designers and craft businesses of the 1920s to 1970s and ultimately to a passion for wood and upholstery.The design furniture pieces from the Europe of the past 100 years are found either regionally or in neighboring European countries. In the search, it is not necessarily decisive whether it is a particularly rare piece. Rather, it is that "something" that catches my interest. The form, the functional idea, the materiality.

Materials

 The focus is on the use of nature-based ecological, sustainable materials. We use natural, re-soluble glues, linseed oil and wood wax as well as shellac.  We choose very high quality virgin wool fabrics because of their unique properties. Wool is lightfast, breathable, stain resistant, ecological, durable, flame retardant, tactile, long lasting. 

We search for European design classics and selected pieces with reference to the closer regional environment, for special features Europe-wide as well as according to customer wishes. The reconditioning of surfaces, the replacement of missing parts, the re-gluing of joints, as well as the upholstery takes place in our own workshop and in proven cooperation with upholstery specialists.
